Quality assurance

Since its creation, CDB has placed quality at the heart of its products and services. CDB is now ISO 9001 certified.

Thanks to its historical positioning in the nuclear market, and in response to the safety requirements of this sector, CDB's quality system guarantees complete traceability of both materials and finished products.

Our manufacturing processes are documented (written procedures and quality records) to guarantee the conformity of the finished product. Documentary and technical conformity checks are carried out at every stage of production, as well as on dispatch.

CDB's expertise in analyzing and complying with normative and contractual requirements is regularly audited and validated by external certification organizations (AFNOR, CERIB) as well as by our principals customers (EDF, ANDRA, CYCLIFE, CEA, etc.).

Today, the quality approach and the management of numerous documentary records are part of CDB's culture.

Safety and prevention

Because human resources are the company's essential asset, we must ensure the safety and promote the well-being of our employees. CDB is therefore fully committed to this approach, implementing concrete actions to move towards the goal of "zero accidents":

  • Onboarding with a focus on preventention and safety for all new employees

  • Conduction of 1/4 hours safety training on a weekly basis

  • Daily warm-ups before starting work

  • SIM (Short Interval Animation)at job handover

  • Systematic analysis of incidents or near-accidents and implementation of action plans

  • Strong policy of investment in infrastructure and in production tools aiming to reduce as far as possible the hardship at the various workstations

Social responsibility

A code of ethics has been drawn up by CDB to spell out our ethical commitments through collective action principles and individual guidelines:

  • Ensure a working environment conducive to health and safety for employees (or any other person on its premises)
  • Focus on the creation of sustainable on permanent contracts
  • Prevent, put an end to and, if necessary, punish any moral or sexual pressure or persecution exerted on an employee
  • Provide employees with an effective social protection system
  • Dialogue with employee representative bodies
  • Contribute to a fair share of the company's profits through the application of a employee profit-sharing agreement in company results

Environmental responsibility

Through its environmental policy, CDB is committed to applying strict rules to respect and protect the environment.

CDB's environmental management system is ISO 14001 certified. It is run on a daily basis by a dedicated resource in the CDB organization chart: the Environmental Prevention Coordinator.

Given the concrete production processes used within the company, CDB pays particular attention to controlling the treatment of process water and discharges into the natural environment, in compliance with applicable regulations.
